The Twitter Value Debate
A quick background to this post; this morning several friends and I had a conversation spawn about the value of Twitter to the masses. The discussion started between myself (@mattsolar) and my close friend, Pete (@petekuhn). Since we’re both bearish on Twitter’s value I decided to rope in another good friend, and content/Twitter guru, Jim.
Adobe Flash is Now Searchable
From TechCrunch - For most people on the Web, if Google or Yahoo cannot find something, it doesn’t exist. That has been one of the biggest drawbacks to creating a Website or application that displays itself as a Flash (SWF) file. Search engines could see the file, but they could not see what was in.
Yahoo & MSN… again.
Is this a surprise? I’m just curious who is going to yield first – Yang, or Balmer? We’ve got multiple sources at both Yahoo and Microsoft telling us that official talks are back on between the two companies. But we’re hearing something different than CNET – the talks are about a full buyout again, not.
Yahoo’s Future = ??
John Battelle wrote, Stewart and Caterina are leaving Yahoo. I also have heard about at least one other high level departure, but I cannot report that yet. Scores of lower level folks are leaving, most too junior to merit reporting, but very significant anyway. If Yahoo’s board is not in emergency session right now, coming.
Yahoo! + Google Deal
This is a huge loss for Balmer. Whether or not he’ll admit it is another story… Yahoo! Inks Ad Syndication Deal With Google Jun 12 The WSJ reported that Google and Yahoo! have inked a non-exclusive ad deal Yahoo said it will display some ads sold by Google in an agreement estimated to generate $800.
